Ok, it's not really 12 days of baking. I don't and am not planning to spend 12 days baking. But it is officially December and it is Christmas/Holiday cookies baking time(I'm sure some of you may have even started already). For the next few posts I'll be posting a few recipes(well, more like links to the recipes) that I'll be making this holiday season.
1) Chocolate Coconut Neapolitans - This is a new recipe that I'm trying. I saw it in one of my old issues of Taste of Home magazine.
2) Rugelach - I've posted the recipe for these here. The recipe looks long but it's actually not complicated to make. I do have to warn you: make extra because once you eat one, you will want more, which will leave none to give away to your friends & families.
3) Pecan Butterballs - I make these every year for Christmas. They are very easy to make and 1 recipe yields 4 dozens or more if you shape the balls smaller. When I make these, I don't roll them in confectioner's sugar because I think it's too sweet with it.
Do you do any holiday baking? What's your favorite holiday cookies?

Love your new header and Christmasy look!
Fun recipes! The neopolitan's look festive!
We're definitely going to make bon-bons and chocolate covered peanuts. Other than that, I'm not sure. We're collecting recipes and ingredients when we find one that strikes our fancy. LOL!
Yum - those pecan butterballs sound very tasty. Mom used to do lots of baking for the holidays but with all the little grandbipeds underfoot it is tough to get much done. But she does like to do gingerbread men.
woos, the OP Pack
Once upon a time, Mom used to bake - she might have to give the rugelach a try -
She did make the pumpkin khrisp that Bentley and Lexus's mom Tiffan shared on her blog (fur Thanksgiving) - she might make that again - The Doggy Nanny REALLY enjoyed it!
Tank woo fur sharing these!

Hi all!
Guess what!? We MISSED the Dog Named Christmas movie (: Heard it was great and hope to find it on a repeat showing or so.
Great recipes! Mom just printed out the pecan butterball one...all for EASY over here. We tried baking the dog friendly apple/cinnamon recipe over on Sugar's site..tasty, but we got the baking part wrong..(had a few OVERLY crispy ones!) still edible though. Made chocolate chip cookies with pine nuts and vanilla granola the other day for gifts, but OOPS! only one neighbor received a few, as mom and dad got into them.... So....overall, we're trying over here....
Thanks for the great recipe suggestions!!!!
Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,
Sierra Rose and mom
thanks for the recipes...I'm going to make rugelach (I'm not sure we'll share) and the pecan butter cookie looks delish!!
I love cookies, especially Christmas cookies, but I hate baking more than a couple of batches. I get bored, then you end up with all of one or two kinds of cookies. I am actually thinking of having a cookie exchange this year, I just have to figure out how to do it!
Thanks for the recipes!
I now have a hankering to bake something delicious today :)
