Cabin Camping

Woof friends, long time no sniff. My mom is such a bad blogger, she hasn't been blogging or helping me with visiting my furfriends. Thank you to all my friends who asked about me and my surgery. I am all recovered now. The test came back just fine, it's a low grade mast. So we will just have to keep an eye on it if it grows again. Otherwise I am all good.

Last weekend we went to a cabin by the river. We had a very relaxing time. On the way up dad stopped at a smokehouse and got me a big bone to chew on. Yummerz! Not sure why but mom didn't let me swim in the river at all this time. Maybe because getting down to it is quite rocky and she had her hands full getting my brofur safely down to the river. 

Mom and dad also found this little lake tucked away off of a trail. They wanted to fish there but we were attacked by tons of bugs that we left quickly. Not quick enough though because I was covered and chewed up.

Boo Boo Update

Hi friends,

June was in surgery this morning and is now out of surgery. 2 lumps were removed, which 1 of them looked fine and the other not sure, so her vet will be sending it out for testing. She is in recovery right now and I will pick her up after work today. I will keep everyone posted about her recovery.

Boo boo

My friends, I have a little boo boo. The lump that mom was very worried about (read it here) a few months ago which turned out to be benign, is now bleeding. Mom took me to see the vet this morning but he is on vacation this week. In the mean time, mom had put a boo boo bandage on me and told me that I have to wear this shirt. Mom said she will take me to see another doctor later this evening and we will keep everyone posted.

Hamburglar

My name is June and I am a Hamburglar. What is a Hamburglar? You ask. Well it's hamburger burglar. Dad has been calling me this name since last Frieday because I stole my brofur's hamburger from the dining table. I don't normally do such things but it just smell so good and I had to taste it... mmmm...

Bread, from start to finish

I love making bread. I actually love making them more than I love eating them. Oh don't get me wrong, I love to eat bread as well but tend not to eat too much.

I saw these Chewy Italian Rolls at Mel's Kitchen Cafe and I just had to try them. They are very easy to make, just have to plan ahead of time for the biga(bread starter).

Frosty came to visit

Did you know that Frosty the snowman came to visit us? It was a short visit as it got quite warm (in the 50's) this weekend, so we lost most of our snow, including our snowman friend.

Mom can't wait for spring and summer to come! Not because she hates the snow, she actually loves it as much as I do. But she wants spring and summer because she wants to work in her garden. She is super excited this year because this year she is going to start some seeds indoor! If you recall, mom used to start her own seeds in the pre-Brofur era. It has been 3 years since she last did it and this time, she has a little helper to help out!

Salute to Kaiser

I saw this article that someone shared on facebook. It is very touching. K-9 officer Kaiser was saluted by his fellow officers on his final walk to the vet. You can read all about here. RIP K-9 Officer Kaiser, run free at the Rainbow Bridge.

Happy Update!

We've got good news! Bloodwork came back normal for June! She is fine and dandy! We probably will not have the lumps removed, no need to put her through surgery and pain. The Vet said to keep an eye out on the lumps to make sure that they don't get bigger or change. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We truly appreciate your friendship!

Power of the Paws needed...

 We went to the Vets yesterday because we have found a small lump on June. Upon checking her, the Vet found another bigger golball-size lump on her. He recommended to have the lumps removed and do bloodwork. I am totally freaking out about this.

Questions to my friends: Should we just go ahead with the surgery or should we do bloodwork first and wait for the result before doing surgery? I want to keep positive thoughts but can't help being worry.... 

Update: I have scheduled to have bloodwork done for June next Monday morning. Let's keep our fingers/paws crossed that everything is fine.

Happy Snow Year!

Our snow storm has come to an end today. It started on Wednesday night (yup, this is New Year Snow!), snowed all day on Thursday and finally ended today. It wasn't a severe storm but due to the duration of the storm, we were hit with lots of soft powdery white fluff!

"What mom? You want me to come in? Do I have to?"

"Alright, if I must...but can I go back out again later?"

Not sure exactly how much snow we got but this was taken this morning at my back deck. I could not open my door all the way.
